Family Bike Weekends with Teen Treks are a way for families to “dip their toe” into the experience of bike touring. We have chosen bike-friendly routes, predominately on rail trails and canal paths through iconic areas throughout the Northeast.

These are non- competitive, social bike rides meant for the families to enjoy taking an adventure together and alongside other like-minded families. In the true spirit of bike touring, all trips will be filled with sightseeing stops including historic monuments, local treasures and often ice cream along the way!

Stay at scenic, family-friendly campgrounds, with plenty of opportunity for kids to play outdoors, and for all to share memories around a fire and over a camp-side meal.

All Family Bike Weekends will be supported, though individual families have the option for self-contained travel. A shuttle will be available at the trip start to load overnight gear. Participants are also welcome to carry their own gear either in bicycle panniers or a light backpack. Shuttle service will also be available in case of any bicycle maintenance issues along the trail. A bike guide and sweep will be present on all Overnight rides.
