Hi readers! Today was an excellent day. Why? It was my birthday! We woke up at around 8:30 and grabbed breakfast (Comfort Inn bananas, muffins, pastries and fruit) as the steadfast smell of yesterday’s dampness permeated the air. We went back to our rooms and got ready for our rest day in Toledo. For lunch we went to the Chipotle across the street for some mediocre Mexican bowls and burritos, while setting up a game of tasks and manipulations. As we then biked into downtown, the characteristics of the city shone through: desolate and grey. However, that didn’t stop us from having fun! In fact, the balmy-yet-rainy weather allowed us to play fun games in the park and chill. We then biked to an AMAZING restaurant for dinner – Ye Olde Durty Bird! The pub-esq atmosphere coupled with some cool t-shirts and dessert made for an amazing b-day celebration. Afterwards, we biked back to the hotel, where we are getting ready to bike 60 miles tomorrow.
