Today we woke up at 6AM sharp to go eat breakfast in Vergennes. After packing up and taking a few bites of muffin, we rode down the same road we that we had yesterday to get to 3 Squares Cafe. Gabby’s dad was kind enough to take the weight off our bikes by putting our bags in his truck, and driving them back to his house, for this would be our longest day yet. We then biked to a small local grocery store to grab lunch supplies, and ate sandwiches in a gazebo. Afterwards, we rode to a swimming hole that Gabby knew of. We jumped off rocks and fought the current in the cold, refreshing water before having to leave. After taking a group photo, we got back on our weightless bikes and rode down to the round church. Immediately after seeing it, Navarro dropped his bike in the grass, walked over to the church and promptly hugged the building, for it was the first landmark of the trip that he recognized. We then rode to Gabby’s parents house to pick up our stuff and say hi to her cat before finishing our day with some maple creemees, reaching our goal of 50 miles in the process. After settling into our sleeping areas in Gabby’s apartment, we watched Bo Burnham’s inside before going to bed after a long day!
