Historical and Scenic Stops Along NYM Trek

Today we woke up to a warm and dry hotel. It was a chill morning, as we had to get our clothes to a laundromat, so we had a late start. It was a great first half of the trip because it was on a flat rail trail. We flew through the first 20 miles and we stopped at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Historical House in Hyde Park, NY. It was a great and interesting stop which gave us some energy for the last 10 miles. Another rest stop we took was a giant bridge in Poughkeepsie which overlooked the Hudson. It was a beautiful view. We arrived at our camp tired and ready for nachos. We set up camp and now we are going to bed. -Leo
