An anxious group of bikers met in Rowe’s Wharf Park this morning and quickly took the morning ferry out of Boston to Provincetown for the start of the Cape Cod Trek. For the next two days, the group will explore the tip of the Cape by biking the Province Lands Bike Trail, enjoy swimming in scenic beaches, climb the Pilgrim monument and eat at trendy Provincetown restaurants. After two nights of camping at the beautiful Dunes Edge Campground, the group will make their way down the Cape, biking along the National Seashore Bicycle Trail and the Cape Cod Rail Trail, stopping for two nights at Nickerson State Park. Then, a ferry will take the group over to Martha’s Vineyard for two days of exploring the quaint towns and surrounding beaches while enjoying Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground with campfires and live music. From there, the group will ferry back to the Cape and bike north to visit Plymouth Rock, enjoying the scenery and activities along the way. On the last day, the group will return to Boston to celebrate a 10-day journey of biking the unforgettable Cape Cod Trek! Stay tuned for daily blog posts about trip highlights and events with a new group picture update to look forward to each day!
