We woke up at 6am and hustled to leave the campsite around 8 am. Then biked for 4 hours to make it to a supermarket to get food for the next 3 meals. On the way, we stopped at an amazing find on the side of the road. A free yard sale!! We were so excited. We jumped off our bikes and rummaged through the free boxes. Our amazing finds ranged from expensive winter boots to a beautiful water bottle and sunglasses to top it off. Sachin found a book to read so that we can all have reading time at night. Our ride was swift today. Smooth roads, not too many hills and so beautiful with marshes and birds. After a group photo shoot by a beautiful view we headed towards food. The supermarket. The place we were all waiting to see. We had lunch after the cook group got food. We met a nice man named Bob who prayed for us and told us we are awesome. Basically, everyone loves us. Also, Wyatt found a speaker on the side of the road so now we can listen to even more music while we ride!
After lunch, we biked over to Ferry Beach State Park for a fun afternoon on the beach. We swam, played frisbee, ate so many grapes and found really big shells from west atlantic surfclams. Walking and chilling on the beach was so nice in the sun. After a few hours at the beach, we started biking the rest of the way to Portland. Most of the way there, we rode some amazing rail trails thru the woods and marshes. While we were on the trail, we saw a helicopter take off in someones backyard! The vibes on the ride were so good. We made it into Portland and cooked dinner during golden hour. Then we made it to our hotel!! With beds and showers!!! It was such a great day.
